Day two dawned, and the Vividink team was back at ExCel and ready to roll. The first person they met was AEO CEO Chris Skeith OBE, on his way to one of the AEO’s meetings held alongside the show. Then, the day settled into meeting fellow exhibitors and visitors, preparing post-event news items, and grabbing images of clients for the team at Vividink HQ to build into social media posts.
One key session the team didn’t want to miss was on the Inovent Stage, where Jill Hawkins of Aniseed PR hosted a discussion on whether the events industry was “No place for the over 50s”. A great discussion between the panellists, Holly Patrick - journalist and editor; Caroline Walters- co-founder of Mission Menopause; Margaret Reeves - MD at RefTech; and recruiter Rob Kenward. A great discussion around the effects of ageing in the workplace, the value of experience and how to accommodate both.
Lunch saw an opportunity to sample the wares from the pie vendor. Paul & Joe met up with Jill Hawkins and had a chance to discuss all things event PR; then, the team was joined by Helen Moon of EventWell and Andrew Harrison, director of the Event Supplier and Services Association.
Paul couldn’t resist sampling the AI imagery on the SnapMatic stand - we don’t think he will make a podium finish in his Volvo Estate!!!
Thanks to Adam Parry, Paul Allott, Kizzy Allot, Elouise Mugridge, Simon Howard and the entire AMP Events team for making it a successful show.
